The 30 Day Blogging Challenge Day 26 – My Hidden Talent

My hidden talent is the ability to look at a vacant piece of real estate or building and tell you what sort of business will be successful there. I’ve never actually engaged in this activity for compensation, but I’ve watched a lot of the “wrong” businesses come and go at various locations where I knew they wouldn’t work – and I’ve also watched others grow and thrive, when I was certain they were a good fit.

  1. My hidden talent is a gift as well as a curse. I can almost immediately tell if a performer has a) practiced enough for the event b) is in tune. It drives me crazy and I often avoid going to live performances because of it. In addition, I can tell when a band has NO experience in balancing … often making microphones too loud (usually next to the drums) Makes me bonkers when a band has a decent singer but the idiot who set up the microphones don’t know what they are doing …
